This course, required for English majors in the Rhetoric and Professional writing track, answers the oft-asked question “What can I do with an English degree?” The course offers a common foundation for understanding, theorizing, and applying rhetorical principles and for developing advanced writing skills. Students will research job opportunities and personalize a cover letter and resume; explore different document genres; learn to create aesthetically appealing documents like infographics; and culminate the class with an ePortfolio that they will continue to build on throughout their academic careers.
